What this blog is all about...

What this blog is all about..

Cloth Diapering.. obviously! I've been a fan of CDing since I've read about how much I could save money & the environment by using them. Now that I've started using them, there's no turning back! And I hope from this blog (however crazy it sounds) - if it doesn't make you want to CD your child, will at least help raise awareness on the benefits of CDing.. Enjoy!

Excuses, excuses, excuses

I may have many reasons to CD my child, but a whole lot of people out there have many more excuses not to do it.

EXCUSE NO. 1: I DON'T HAVE A MAID
  • thus.. I don't have time to think about all the washing ups to do
  • think of it this way... I don't have a maid, that means i get to experience CDing 1st hand on my child. It would be a fun & rewarding experience. I can wash them up every 2-3 days & I can use the washing machine

I absolutely love seeing them hanging on the line

EXCUSE NO. 2: LECEH LA... (IT'S SUCH A HASSLE)
  • We are the ones who decided to bring our children to the world (with God's will)
  • So why should giving them the best considered a hassle???
EXCUSE NO. 3: NO TIME
  • hey, come on... you already know that there's no such thing as 'no time'
  • it's how you use/ organize your time that matters
  • besides, all you need to do is chuck everything into the machine & hang it outside to dry
  • it's not like you don't have to do your other laundry, right?
  • so why can you spend time doing your dirty laundry and not your kids'?

EXCUSE NO. 4: THEY'RE EXPENSIVE & I DON'T HAVE ENOUGH MONEY
  • PLEASE, PLEASE do your calculations right..
  • CDs may seem expensive, but they're cheaper in the long run

This is about all I need to rotate between washing ups
EXCUSE NO. 5: DISPOSABLES ARE A LOT EASIER
  • Yup, DDs are a lot easier
  • But do remember, the best things in life are never easy to achieve
  • Yes, you can use DDs & chuck them in the bin when you're done, but have you thought of what a waste they are (in terms of money & pollution?)
  • it's like chucking RM 1 in the bin each time you change your child's nappy
  • and it takes sooo long for disposables to decompose. Imagine the amount of rubbish our children will have to live in in the future
  • and DDs are not entirely safe- they contain toxins that can cause harm e.g. cancerous- is this the best for our children?

So, for me there's actually no excuse for not CDing your child. It's one of the best things you could offer them. You do want the best for them, RIGHT?

CLOTH DIAPER YOUR CHILD.
